Enjoy Your Weekend
Happy weekend, friends. I hope you’ve fully recovered from your holiday time off last week, and unlike my neighbors, I hope yours have stopped it with the fireworks already. I’ve got two kiddos heading off to camp this week, so it’s going to be rather quiet around the house.
I’m planning on recovering my pantry from its daily onslaught of attack from the ravenous wee beasties. Is it just me, or does everyone else also have to go to the grocery store multiple times a week in the summer because you are out of food again?
And what’s with my kids suddenly having adult tastes? Giant jar of salsa? Gone in 2 days. Spicy sausage balls for our breakfast bowls? No leftovers. A dozen hardboiled eggs for lunches? Ha! Make that one lunch. Anyway, after I write this weekend wrap up of all the goodness from the internet, I’m off to pick up my grocery order. Let’s hope it lasts us until Monday! Here are things I loved from the internet this week:
This gorgeous essay by Serena Williams: “Why is it that when women get passionate, they’re labeled emotional, crazy, and irrational?”
This weirdly inspirational video of a woman who learns to run and jump like a horse.
This perfect imitation of a perfect moment of acting by Michelle Williams.
This great list of little known Apollo 11 Facts to celebrate the upcoming 50th anniversary.
This episode of Throughline that came out in June, but I just listened to this week.
Alrighty, you guys have a good one!
