Primary Resource Instruction

The research and instruction librarians at Southwestern University needed some instructional curriculum for using primary sources and secondary sources in conjunction with their Distinctive Collections.

During my library science internship, I created, scripted, and produced an instructional video for students to watch before coming to the library for classroom instruction. Then, I created an instructional hour that adds on to the video content. The presentation slides for direct instruction are below the video.

The video and presentation work to reinforce concepts for using, identifying, and analyzing research materials for primary and secondary sources. I designed this instructional video with undergraduate STEM students in mind.
